The Note Poem by Uriah Hamilton

The Note

Rating: 5.0

Sometimes
When a woman
Is justifiably angry
And refuses to see
A man’s face,
The man will plead
With a friend of hers
To intercede for him,
To understand this is
The last extremity of need.

I would buy
Roses every day for a month
For her best friend
To merely bring her
A note that reads,
“I’m sorry.”

Beautiful words Uriah! Sorry goes a long long way and pays dividends from where it flows to where goes...smiling at you, Tai, off to bed to seek forgiveness! lol oops! sorry hehe

Notes and roses never go out of style. Nor do those two words, 'I'm sorry' when they are the last words of such a genuinely heartfelt poem. Excellent, as always. Warm regards, Sandra

You, and many a former Valentine. Emily Dickinson noted the valve of affection that snaps shut. Would that I could remember the poem's title. Dudes: pay attention to what Uriah said, here. - Will

Good stuff. Exposes the crazy desperation of love in the last extremity of need. : -)
