The Non-Exisisting Days Poem by Kate Kate

The Non-Exisisting Days

It feels wrong for the sun to be shining
And I don't feel much like rain
Today life should stand still
I can't tell if anythings changed

I feel on the edge of tears
But I want nothing more then to sincerely smile
While life keeps on going
I can't tell if anythings the same

Think of yesterday thoughts
Let the tears swell up
Hold them back again
Just for them to pour out
Don't let them see you cry
They'll just ask and you'll just lie

I lay staring at the ceiling
Waiting for something to save me
From my boredom and insecurity
From everything that stays and everything that goes

Waiting for something I just can't grasp
But wanting someone new
I can hold close and tight too
Waiting for someone who will last

Think of yesterday thoughts
Let the tears swell up
Hold them back again
Just for them to pour out
Don't let them see you cry
They'll just ask and you'll just lie
So go and your room and hide

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

This Kate is a very deep emotional piece of work.I love how you expressed what many, if not all of us feel at sometime or another in our lives.Truly all of us have these moments...I believe this to be true anyway. I enjoyed how you repeated 'Dont let them see you cry They'll just ask and you'll just lie So go and your room and hide' Very powerful words,4 sure a poem that made me think. Thanx for sharing Kate............. Remember though we only come around this way once and we can not allow our selves to stay in these days for too long.((Smile)) =Shelley=
