The Mirror Poem by ashley carmella

The Mirror

She stands about 5 foot 4,
And pain behind her eyes
It's all because her whole life
Was based on many lies.
I met her quite a while ago,
But who she is, is still unknown.
She lives with 7 people
but her house is not a home.
She cries every night
Hoping it will be her last,
Because her so-called 'father',
She grew up too damn fast.
Thanks to someone she trusted,
Her innocence is gone.
She really cant trust people
That she's known for so long.
She's forgotten what true love it.
I'm afraid it's just too late.
Behind her eyes,
Next to the lies,
Is unexplainable hate.
Even though she's different,
I dont really fear her
Becase that same girl's in front of me...
Staring back in the mirror.
