My Chicago Cubs are in New York!
Excitement is in the air!
Local TVs' top of the list
News of the hour...
We are going to win this year!
We are going to be 2015 World Series Champions!
The long wait will pay off...


Price of gas is down
As low as 2.50 per gallon
It seems, everyone's out there driving
'Kennedy Expressway', sometime, at rush hours
looks like a Lot with millions of parked cars
with nowhere to go!
(Just be patient! Traffic will move on any minute now!)

National Unemployment rate is at 5.1 percent
It seems, everyone's working,
at least in my neck of woods,
except for a few who are retired or on disability...
Homicide and murder rates in the Southside (Chicago)
need more attention but 'generally speaking'
not alarming, less than previous years per experts...
THINGS ARE LOOKING UP!

Then, I go on line to see what's going on in
other peoples' neck of woods...
Images from the Middle East break my heart,
my joy gives way to sadness, anger, and years of
unanswered questions...

Bombings, shootings, killings, conflicts,
wars and its refugees; all over the Middle East...,
Thousands of Innocent People getting killed,
murdered, bombed, and annihilated...
Towns, villages, and homes destroyed all over
in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, ....
It is Just like watching War movies...
But these are real!
How I wished they were not!

What happened?
I remembered, years back,
how passionately, important personalities,
men of power and politics,
were talking about winning hearts and minds of Iraqis, Afghanis, Arabs of this side and that side,
Bringing peace to the Middle East between
Peoples of Israel and Palestine...
What happened? !

Oh! How I wished
I could have done something, anything to
see these folks to live normal lives, just like us...,
enjoying a baseball game
as if there was no other worries in
the world except
winning the World Series Championship!
