The Mask Poem by Noah Body

The Mask

Rating: 5.0

Not a soul sees what's behind the mask
Then why wear it you might ask?

The mask protects me from the world
It keeps emotions tightly curled

It also protects the world from me at least
It keeps them safe from hated beast

I hide deep behind these iron walls
So no one hears my pleading calls

I am all alone behind the mask
In sad loneliness I do bask

It is me against all the world
The mask my flag unfurled
