The Malady Of Man Poem by Tiffany Rose Moczydlowski

The Malady Of Man

Rating: 5.0

'Tis a conceited view of man
That we compose the
Entirety of sentient beings
Relevant to the workings
Of all that the universe
Encompasses.

'Tis an irrational conclusion
That the vast majority
Of various possible
Creatures or monstrosities
Which would give cause
To caution the unseen
We have unearthed, extricated,
Reigned in by us
And our ''knowledge.''

'Tis crippling to
The scope of our species
That fear of inexplicable
Or gruesome powers
Rooted far beyond ancient eras
Is subject for ridicule.

'Tis abhorrent assumption
That adversity lurks about
Confined by the flesh,
Dwelling only in the physical realm,
And therefore rendered incapable
Of passing our
Parameters placed for safety.

'Tis an illogical notion
That this atrocious denial
Coupled with vanity
Will not ensure the
Downfall of humanity.

Tiffany if I did not know your true age, I would have said that this well written poem was written by someone much older than you. Humanities downfall will come from their own selfishness and uncaring behavior. A thought provoking write
