Rating: 5.0

With awe I hold the lady
She frolics the island meads
a mythos surrounds her beauty
she rises beyond mortal needs

Her flaxen hair combed long
smooth body lithe and strong
grand moments of charming song
to her I now belong

her voice emotes so sweetly
she whispers clear and freely
her smile easily captures me
she promises futures to be

she glides with spectral grace
her ghost steps leave no trace
A madness consumes my face
I burn for her embrace

Bleached bones and shattered oar
doomed mariners haunt the shore
few mortals can easily ignore
the call of siren lore

The passions of vacant men
control them again and again
blood quickens from deep within
my voyage will soon begin

The malaise of feeling empty
she lifts me with her melody
last breath I offer thee
my life I forfeit free

As dusk invades the valley
strange shadows replace the trees
the decay of soothing hemlock
its scent commands the breeze

pure love mortals will risk
they vault the cavernous abyss
she hovers with brief remiss
her kiss brings fatal bliss

the beach erupts with frenzy
young gulls sweep the sky
my body bobbing happily
the currents mask my sigh

What a stunning tale in a poem. I like it very much, love the images, the feeling of a chivalrous, if somewhat unusual, love.
