The Loved One Poem by Spiros Zafiris

The Loved One

as the mountains stand,
she stands at ease
her neighbors may scream
a man might beat her
she turns the other way
she looks for the poet
for protection and peace
he sits there writing
the heavenly pronouncements
if she truly loved him,
where was she the past three months
but help her he must;
her temple of kindness
