The Living Road Of Death Poem by Marcus McKinley

The Living Road Of Death

I’ll be leaving here soon
I’ll be leaving ….
All there is exists around me
Makes no sense to keep it
Or, hold on to the feelings of memories
It eats away at me like a disease
Makes no sense to repent
One will never be free of guilt
But I…
No remorse for my recourse
I will be leaving here soon
And, with my exit a subtle void
In time my absence, forgotten
Beneath the mill stones of civilization
Grinding seeds of generations
Planted in the womb of mother earth
Then, planted in the tomb on mother earth
Makes no sense, to keep it at a distance
For it will, embrace us all in the end
