The Perfect Kill (Q Style) Poem by Marcus McKinley

The Perfect Kill (Q Style)

Rating: 5.0

Like the final scream of a banzai warrior
Dedicated to the cause
Focused
She zeroed in
On my heart without pause

Her words like a samurai blade
Found there mark
swiftly
Cut deep without feeling
My soul slid apart

Cast a sunder
From the essence of her very breath
withered
My love now lay
on the point of death

No more can I endure
I thought she was through
Decisively
She finished me off with
'I never loved you'

Excellent piece. I love the pace and the metapors. A strong finish. We never hear enough about the downsides of love.

It hurt a little to read this poem. Your words are so expressive I could almost feel the pain myself. I enjoyed the Q style.
