The Lesson Of My Life.. Poem by Suraj Motiwala

Just like every other day, I started a New one.
I got fresh and ready, All my prayers were done..

Today for a change, I asked God to teach me a lesson.
Unaware of what was coming, I left for my tuition..

After the class was over, I saw there were many calls I did not attend,
They called me Home fast..
My Grandpa wasn't well...
I reached Home, breaking the speed limits.
I ran to my Grandpa,
He wasn't ill..! !
He just passed away by God's will.

I sat by his side, tears flowed down.
I remembered times I made fun of him..
Lord, forgive me, I raised my voice too..
I did not obey him, when i had time to..

He was in his eighties..Flooded with his experiences..
I hardly sat down to give a ear to his stories...

He is who made our family up,
raised us,
Educated me and when i was wise enough..
i was proved a fool...
I challenged his knowledge, ,
I broke his rules...

No matter how old you are, never miss the chance to spend time with your loved ones..
Make them laugh..
but never laugh on them...
Learn from them..
But never try to teach them...
Give them every Happiness, share their sorrows.
Respect them, Love them..
They might not be there in your tomorrows..

He left us peacefully..
He did not suffer,
I am sure he met God! !
He was His ardent Lover..

Thank you Grandpa for this wonderful life..
Our Joyous life...is due to your strife...
Thank you once again for..
