The Leaves Were Trembling Poem by Sylvia Lukeman

The Leaves Were Trembling

Rating: 5.0

The snows have come
And the leaves long fallen from the trees.

The winter sunshine turns to diamonds
The countless snowflakes;
And still I await your return to me.

It was May and the leaves were trembling in the breeze;
Side by side we walked on shimmering sands.
Conversation flowed..we always talk with ease
We enjoy the simple pleasure of holding hands.

You returned and left a space that no one else can fill
Near or far, beloved, please know that I love you still.
