The Idiot, The Silly Old Fool Poem by Elia Michael

The Idiot, The Silly Old Fool

The idiot, the silly old fool
A mad Rasputin monk, my landlord
Threw away precious spool after spool
Of memories I had on record

The idiot, the silly old mule
Threw celluloid away by the reel
Images lost for ever - the fool
Stupid stupid fool, is he for real?

But joy upon joy, some Super 8
Escaped his destructive stupid fate!
