The Hypnotist's Confession Poem by Lloyd Savage

The Hypnotist's Confession

I'd like to make you laugh.
I'd like to make you cry,
But I'll do neither one to you
And now I'll tell you why.

I'm tired of hearing laughter.
I'm tired of seeing tears.
And if you can't be yourself
My God! To be me you'd take years! !

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This humor poem like many just came to me. I also write quotations I pen myself one of which is 'Ever since God made cinnamon it's been on a roll.' Yet, they do not let us poets put our quotations on here. I have some more humor poems to put on here later. I find the humorous poems come to me if I eat lots of sugar before hand. I don't say one should because that could cause one to be diabetic but for myself it just brings the natural humor out. Don't forget I do have a very serious side. Thanks for reading my poetry and your time. Also one other thing I like to leave a tablet and pen by my bed table at night, so if or when a poem comes I can pen it right away. Sometimes I find if I raise up, it sends the poem away and I forget what it was
so, in those cases I also have a tape recorder, then I record it on
tape and listen to it without raising up to hear and type it up the next morning. Try it you might like it!
