The Greyness Poem by Vera Dike

The Greyness

Everything seems so grey and fade,
my thoughs,
grey lambs on the grey sky

The whole worls hides
behind curtain of rain

The clock is ticking
the sound of dying time
is too loud for my room

I fume
over the passing moments

of grey loneliness
which has become a hollow
pleasure of mine

in thise grey day
when each raindrop contains
thousand of sorrows

Emotional descriptive colour of loneliness..... it's usually grey or black. How we relate colours to state of mind....but when thinking, usually we think in black and white....rarely in other colours...Love the last sentence - each drop contains thousand of sorrow...

This is a very vivid poem, Vera, despite the topic being greyness. I love my thoughts - grey lambs on the grey sky and each raindrop contains a thousand sorrows. But your loneliness makes me sad. I hope I can brighten it in some small way.

We all have grey days sometimes, the more we enjoy colors later :)
