The Goldilocks Zone

In a system
in which 'the scene' was 'the zone'
and 'the f'doing' did for 'the agenda',
firmly on the f'doing by 2018
was the conversion of Mars
into a good-enough scene.

Science fiction has made Mars 'popular' here since the 50s. Much has been learned since. It is in the Goldilocks zone; still has frozen (And liquid at times) water. A thin atmosphere, but enough to whip up dust-storms. Mars may have supported life. Transpermia; from an impact, may have seeded this world. Who's been sleeping in my bed? : -)
