The Glass Of Wine Smiles Poem by Rani Turton

The Glass Of Wine Smiles

Rating: 5.0

Two glasses of wine
Waiting, on a bare wooden table.
Breathing the air.

Barges that float on the Seine.
Slowly, like swans on a lake.
A step on the staircase.

The door opens.
The beloved has come.
The glass of wine smiles.

Rani, this little gem is fantastic! You have truly put wine in it's proper context. Thank you.

I loved the touch of Persian poetry in it. CP
