The Girl Without A Name Poem by refilwe ranape

The Girl Without A Name

I saw her, She saw me, We noticed each other;
I looked her in the eyes, She looked away, She looked me in the eyes, I looked away; I wondered.....
I walked into her, She looked down, I staired away, She looked at me;
What's on her mind, i wondered......That Girl;

Day after day, I see her, She sees me, We see each other;
No words, just gestures we exchange, body conversations;
I bump into her, My heart beats so hard, so fast it wants to pop out of my chest;
Chat, little chat, She smiles and walks away
The body, the smile, the eyes, the walk, says it all;
What about the mind and heart of the Girl, That Girl....

The vibe, that vibe, this vibe;

Closer and closer she comes;
Closer and closer I come;
Closer and closer we come;
She has built the wall, like the wall of Berlin
it stands brawny, unbreakable, no one can seem to fracture it;
She is determined to keep it that way;

Through her eyes I see sadness;
She is fighting a battle, so all that smile is not....
Behind that facade is heart ache;
A broken heart, herself shaken, her vanity tested,
overwhelmed by fright, fear of the unknown;
She has the spirit though, the willpower;
Shyley, she tells me her story;
Closer and closer....This Girl without a Name
