The Girl Poem by Cameron Sullivan

The Girl

Rating: 5.0

Her eyes are a shining star

Lighting up my world from afar.

Her tongue light as a feather in speech

Just waiting for the day we speak.

She comes my way, walking with a smile

Hoping there’s enough to talk about for a while.

We sit for hour after hour after hour after hour

Having enough laughs to bring down a tower.

She looks me in the eye and I can’t help but smile

Knowing that I want to be with her for a while.

eyes meet in a staring gaze

And everything seems to turn to a haze.

We hang out one late afternoon

Sitting outside, just staring at the moon.

We’re watching the stars fall above,
When look at her I realize… I am in love.

Lovely and very romantic depiction of a voyage of bliss that is love - a spiritual experience that affects one profoundly. A well articulated piece of poetry, nicely penned from the heart in good rhyme scheme with conviction. Thanks for sharing Cameron. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
