Our World, Our Home Poem by Cameron Sullivan

Our World, Our Home

When I look around

I realize what is going on.

I see the sky and clouds

and know that the world’s not gone.

If we all take a moment

Just to stop and think,

The world could realize

What they have done stinks.

If we ruin the very place we live

Where else would we have to go?

We can’t just travel across the universe

looking for another home, no.

Bottom line shows the home we have now

Is far from the beauty it used to be.

The world we live in now

Is horrible as far as the eye can see.

The problem is that very few actually stop to think. Thanks, Cameron

That's the true problem with today's society. Everyone is stuck in a rut that they can't get out of, nor even bother try. If more people would stop and think before an action or statement, this world could be filled with far more peace.
