The Fuel Of Compassion Poem by Walterrean Salley

The Fuel Of Compassion

Compassion allows one
To work wonders,
Doing that which he thought not.
Good were it if every soul
Was linked to this human network,
Which conditions the heart
And allows humanity
To mesh as one.

Men should be merciful.
Whomever shirks
Such an excellent virtue,
Robs himself
Of the very fuel
That ignites the soul.

Compassion has been shown to all;
Go likewise and do the same.
And as you have received,
Freely give.
