Where do they come from
And vanish away,
Before I could know
Their art and trend,
Style and profession?
The folk singers,
The folk singers of India,
Rustic and countrified singers,
Singers of India!
Their instruments,
Drums, cymbals, flutes,
Pipes and traditional things
Mark I,
The notes breaking
And they clapping,
Singing
Lost in their rhythm and notes,
Music and words,
Setting of words to music!
