The Final Dilemma Poem by K. J. Broadhurst

The Final Dilemma

Rating: 5.0

Does the sun continue to rise?

As I shut my eyes for the last time

Can I hear the crashing waves?

As I take my final breath

Will I meet with loved ones once more?

Holding close those I adore

Can I still watch my family grow?

Help them through with my gentle glow

Can I still hold them to my breast?

Guiding them though as I know best

Stop their pain with a wave of my hand

As they struggle across the weighing sand

It can not be the final setting of the moon

Leaving nothing but darkness

Sadness tears and gloom

This must be just another page of life’s lies

Surely nobody really ever dies?
