The Feast Of Assumption Of The Blessed Mary Ever Virgin Poem by Dr John Celes

The Feast Of Assumption Of The Blessed Mary Ever Virgin

The ever Virgin Mary died
A natural death in earthly life;
The disciples entombed the corpse,
And three days later, it was gone!

Voices of angels had been heard,
While body was within the tomb;
A pleasant fragrance filled the air,
As body, with soul fused in clouds;

And angels took her to heaven.
Incorrupt stayed her body then;
Where she was crowned with stars and sun,
For her divine role by her Son.

The Dormition tells, ‘Mary slept.'
The Assumption says, ‘she had died'.
Yet no one knows the exact facts;
But God does impossible things.

As Mary is mother of God,
She is greater than all the saints;
And her son Jesus loves his mom,
Who is now queen in heaven above!
