The Falling Tears Poem by Hebert Logerie

The Falling Tears

Tears of sadness
Tears of happiness
Tears of debilitating grieves
Tears of the fallen leaves
Which make trees strong and tall
Tears of maturation
Which nurture the soil
For a more fruitful season.

Tears of wariness
Tears of greatness
Tears of powerful emotions
Tears of unwavering devotions
After losing the battle
We recover, we go back
To reinforce the saddle
We pamper the horseback
For another fight that we won't lose
Because of the past, nothing is loose.

Tears of fretfulness
Tears of fruitfulness
Tears of inconceivable passion
Tears of sweet compassion
Nothing lasts forever
The smile, the fever
The laugh and the pain
After the setback, we gained
More than we apparently lost
We now control the post.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem is dedicated to my brothers and sisters who are in tears today. We lost big last night, but we also gained something different. The dream will never die. We now have the outside lane, the post. We're patient and resilient.
