At times, the sky appears so lonely,
Dressing in its many shades of blue,
And at night wearing a veil of black,
Is it mourning for love it once knew?
I saw a rose with tears in its eyes,
I was told it's just the morning dew,
But I knew better, I felt its pain
And watched it cry for love it once knew
I've seen the moon dim in its despair,
The mourning dove's song rang so true,
They both felt the pain of being alone,
Remembering a love they once knew
A river shared a secret with me.....
It said the sea cries when it feels blue,
And so this river was formed of tears
Cried by the sea for love it once knew
I know, I too cried my own river
When fate sent me the picture it drew,
And I was left with just memories,
A sad portrait of love I once knew
I've watched stars fall from an uncaring sky,
Suicidal stars bidding adieu,
They couldn't live with their loneliness
And gave their lives for love they once knew
I think I'll go back to that river,
My dreams of love I'll try to renew,
While I sleep 'neath that blanket of tears
And seek the ghost of love I once knew
I think I'll go back to that river, My dreams of love I'll try to renew, While I sleep 'neath that blanket of tears And seek the ghost of love I once knew Go, hurry up, and get your dreams renewed! Go back to that river of tears and fill your eyes with tears anew, for they'll soon run short of the same! Go, hurry up, until it's too late!
