The Experiment

Rating: 5.0

A mellifluent female voice is heard announcing “Mr. Tim will now be transferred to the other world. Please start the preparations to send him off. And you have 48 hours Comrades. The countdown begins. All the best! ”
The big electronic clock on the wall has started counting down. Time remaining – 47: 59: 00
Four sturdy figures dressed in black are taking Tim on a stretcher to “Morph Wing”. All the four Comrades along with Tim enter Morph Wing and the doors close behind them.
Remaining time to launch Tim – 00: 00: 01
A beautiful garden pregnant with greenery and marigolds in different colors; an old man dressed in sky blue trousers and white denim shirt is looking over the garden taking sips of hot chocolate from a red mug in his right hand. A comrade is walking towards followed by a handsome young man wearing brown suite, trousers with a white shirt and a silk brown tie. He is not wearing shoes. As they approach the old man, the Comrade greets him, “Father” and bows to him with reverence. The comrade leaves Tim and Father. “Tim! My boy, my favourite son! Come here. Stand with me. Come” exclaimed father in happiness. Tim stands on Father’s left. “You see these marigolds? They are the results of my prolonged labor. Ah! That was a hell of a struggle. I had to face innumerous obstacles. However, it was worth I must say. And the result? ...these marigolds in all seven colors” Father is silent now. He is lost in those colorful marigold rows.
“Father”
“Yes, Tim? ”
“You have given such a beautiful gift to the world. Why did you face difficulties? Did they hate colors? ”
“No, no, my son. They hated marigolds in different colors, in a different form. They hated change. They thought I was breaking rules of nature.”
Father looks at Tim and asks “Do you think so too Tim? ”
“No, Father. I think you are creative genius. You are gifted to create unique things.”
Father has a big smile on his face.
“Oh! Sorry. You are not wearing your shoes. Here, let me help you.”
