The Dying Obsession Poem by Ben Henry Baang

The Dying Obsession

I always hide from your view
It's like i cannot face you i'm shy
I am weak and i am unready
Feeling your aura i'm unsteady.
Your light stuns me in awe.
Only my heart moves yet slow.

When you pass me by
Wind rushes through my body.
Nothing was ever carefree
A child yet a woman i see.
A gem with unique rarity.
The perfect apple in a tree.

You seem to be everywhere.
But to you i did not exist.
My face, hidden in a mist.
My eyes stuck to the skies.
Clouds depict your face.
Though surreal but nice.

Pale skin and snow white.
Smooth as the silk bed.
I see you on a soapbox.
Your beauty was widespread.
Every man that sees you
Were left with not a clue

Im still gleefully perplexed
How resplendent that woman is
Her character presses minds.
Her glamour surely blinds.
She is in all ways revered.
Everytime she has appeared.

This leaves me decisions
Obsession is being selfish
So now it is a dying wish
To be with her, maybe never
My love before...I must sever!
Though in my mind forever.
