The Dream Lake Poem by Ria Varghese

The Dream Lake

The lake was gleaming,
As it was flowing.
It was also cool,
But it couldn't drool.
It was filled with fishes,
But I couldn't fulfill their wishes.
Then I saw the clouds gathering,
And all the children scattering.
It was about to rain,
But it was not at all a pain.
The water droplets fell on my head.
Oh no! I wanted to stay in a shed!
Suddenly I fell on my head,
When I was sleeping on the bed.
I guess it was just a dream,
When I saw the lake gleam.
