The Day Has Just Begun Poem by Shalom Freedman

The Day Has Just Begun

The day has just begun
I thank God I am still here
I have another day
Or its beginning anyway-

Life is still too good in many ways
For me to want to leave it soon-

I do not know how much more
Of this kind of time
I will have either-

Very soon
I will go out the door to Shul
And in walking into the early morning light
Know the joy of life again.
