The Day After Christmas Poem by Sarita Milliner

The Day After Christmas

It's the day after Christmas and all through the house,
Everyone is sleeping, including my spouse!
Tummy still full from the holiday spread,
I can hardly lift myself, out of my bead.
Alarm clock ringing, no time to waste,
Got to hit the stores, have gifts to replace.
Made it thru the traffic, I'm finally here,
Wouldn't you know it, people are everywhere.
The hustle and bustle is what makes this day fun,
A few more stores, before my day is done.
It's the day after Christmas, all exchanges complete,
Back home, Family waiting, Holiday leftovers to eat!
