The Darkness Poem by Anand Rai

Wonder if the entire world would stop before me,
And wait by my side to go along with me,
To wait for you till the eternal light fade away,
Wishing you would hurry so they could pass by.

The blue sky holds the clouds down,
Shading me from the rough sun,
Waiting for you to turn up and leave with me,
Yearning for me and that I wouldn't fade to blithe

The light in the sky has trimmed to a faded glow,
It's an outlandish fact that I cannot dig in,
I can't believe the shadows of you are gone,
With my wealth, family, as well my friends.

The darkness awaits me to embrace me in its shadow,
And the creeping worms crawl through my belly,
Still I wait till eternity to pass by,
So I would see you as you were once upon a time
