The Cycle Poem by Saikat Poddar

The Cycle

Another foggy morning
Marks the beginning
Of one more day
Which I hope
Holds the promise
Of a crystal view
Of what lies beyond
What the mist covers now.
I want to know not
The after Twilight happenings
'Cos the mystery of it
Ain't easy to unravel
For an ordinary mortal,
Which I am!
A dawn dawns
Every time the night is over
Bringing back
The traversing of another day
However foggy it may be.
I pine though
For the bliss of the eternal dawn
Immersed in HIS arms
Bringing respite
From the cycle
Of foggy mornings
And hazy days
Which follow long nights.
Will HE grant me my wish
As I spend my day today
Trying to look
Beyond the fog around
On a beautiful
Cold morning...?
