The Cusp Of Life And Death Poem by Andrew Matthews

The Cusp Of Life And Death

I am nobody
And nobody is me
I only wish that they could see
The light I have in me
And determine from that light
That I don't want to fight.

Only in the grey between
The light and dark
In the belly of the killer shark
Can you see the whole horizon
And the cusp of life and death
As you breathe your last breath.
