The Crimson Blusher Poem by Dan Reynolds

The Crimson Blusher

The crimson blusher on one side
of this, most gaunt of faces
a stark adornment, not denied
in oh so many war-torn places.

The crimson blusher on one side
of woeful love’s lost sacrifice
Testament to how they tried
but love alone would not suffice

Their carrion sculpture turns the tide
from when the sniper snuffed her spark
The crimson blusher on one side
from where the bullet met its mark.
