The Death Of A Poetry Forum. Poem by Dan Reynolds

The Death Of A Poetry Forum.

Rating: 0.5

The death of a Poetry Forum.

The final lights are dwindling on the edge of the abyss.
The lure of their attraction, on the wane.
The readers weep and mourn at this poetic precipice
and sense they'll never see the likes again.

Kaleidoscopic characters who came and left their marks
within the spectral range of readership.
Who overestimated all their influential sparks
believing blindly every word, upon the leader's lip.

For all is never perfect in a place where there is choice,
as choice can be directed from the wings.
Too late the great enlightenment released the honest voice.
Too late to lose the Jellyfish's stings.

The impudence that drives us off may well be what had brung us
to blindly laud, and thus applaud, the sociopaths among us.; ¬)
