The Constant Rewards Of The Will To Communicate. Poem by Dan Reynolds

The Constant Rewards Of The Will To Communicate.

Come sit with me, to laugh and drink and cheer
and unwrap all the presents in our minds.
Come sit, relax. A little wine and beer,
to coax the day's sprung coil, as it unwinds.

Reveal to me all that your day has brought
the facts and fictions, fate threw at your feet
And let me share with you my every thought
that we in sharing all, can be complete.

For in our oneness, all else disappears
bar little snippets, hand-picked to peruse.
At dusk, the lamp-lighter again appears
Illuminating all the things we choose.

The words we tease and trickle on our tongue.
The words love brings to keep us ever young.

Come sit with me, to laugh and drink and cheer. A nice poem, but that's my favourite line! Well done, Dan!

Love it when a poem comes together and flows. Nicely penned. Makes me want to relax and wiggle my toes.
