The Cousins Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

The Cousins

The Cousins

I must and do confess
-though badly am angered
-with those in government:
-love living where I live
-thanks to what I can see.

Here, the people are too varied
-in ways and backgrounds, culturally.

That gives me a chance to
-speak and practice
-the tongues that I speak:
-English, Spanish, Arabic
-Urdu to Turkish, and
-mother\s tongue, or Farsi
-as well as the one that
-may sound hard but to me
-is rich and is sweet…
- (Lermontov's and Pushkin's…)

Door to door, when going
-I enjoy, am happy
-love to call them: "cousins…"
-regardless who may be…
