The Cosmic Waltz Poem by J Patrick Murphy

The Cosmic Waltz

A canvas stretched across the sky
Is brushed with many hues of dark and light.
Orion dives from perch so high,
While Ursa wrestles young bear cub nearby;
Their play commences every night.

The Cosmos waltz 'cross deep expanse
Upon a floor that's stretched horizon long.
An epic tale of pure romance,
Embraced as one, they never cease their dance
'Til sun arrives to end their song.

The nimbus play their symphony
And moonlight sings her song with voice divine.
Sunset signals each night's marquee
Where all celestials make so beautif'ly:
One masterpiece all intertwined.
