The Circle Poem by Loubna Haddad

The Circle

Do you hear my whispers, love
Thunder rumbles in distance
Wind whooshing in the darkness
The rustling sound of the autumn leaves

Are you afraid, Love
Trust me
You should be
My Love

I'm a shadow in sunlight
A princesse at night
You are the greatest warrior of all time
Not my protagonist, nor my king,
Just a knight, who might conquer this heart

Love me endlessly
Send a chill down my spine
Meet me in the circle
Dance with me, let the moon watch
Fight me to the breaking dawn

I will have my vengeance
You did not promise, no
I gave no pledge, no
Shall i live with ever remorse
Will you accept my true repentance

I will quench your lust
Assuage the pain, love
Meet me in the circle
Dance with me, forever so long
Fight me in the burning heat of the jealous sun

Oh my love,
Did i become an accomplice in a crime

You will be gone, love
In my grave i will turn to dust
But my immaculate dress
Will stay untouched

For one last dance
For the final fight
In the circle
I will be waiting
My love
