The Chronicles With The Answer (Pt 1)
I can still smell the burning candles lighting up the walk way
And the rose petals carefully lined up along the path her princess walks
I feel the energy return to the room
The passion, remain lockset in my head
And the all too familiar smile tattooed on my mind
It was all yesterday, the golden blues,
When she sang, she filled the room with rhythm and booms
Head to head, toe to toe, and evenly in love
The day’s didn’t move any quicker, nor the nights any longer
But around the corner, we laid in wait for our moment
She for him and him for her, evenly in love
Officially love struck

Might I leave some blank spaces to fill the void
So that I may walk back in retrospect
And circumnavigate this cycle of life
Find you all over again
And leave you this note once again
'Excuse me miss, what’s your name'

It is a well written poem David. However it is over my head and I don't know what it's about.
Fantastic poem with great imagery and captivating style. I really enjoyed it. Excellent work.
This poem laments as something that goes away. Something that is not taken when there is opportunity. What a loss because everything was gone. A bit melancholic, but it seems a rather strong masculine in the whole diction. This is definitely a good work.
