I walked through our circular garden
I saw lacy leaves
And a riot of summer color
Budding flowers.
I like to cut the new buds
Let them fully bloom in crystal vases
And enjoy the sight and smell
Of a garden inside our home.
Yet, I let the Mother Sun
Sent its rays on every budding flower
With gentleness
And bloom to their greatest grandeur.
But nature sometimes is harsh
It pours its fury
It only takes one gusty wind
And a heavy summer rain
To take away the beauty
Of every budding flower.

Wonderful poem Rose.. Nature is harsh sometimes but the mother earth help them to adapt to any situation.
Thank you, Rini for your great comment. Your visit is much appreciated.
You saw lacy leaves in circular garden and beauty of garden motivated mind. Crystal vases have fully bloomed. The beauty of winter motivates every budding flower shines in even summer rain. A nice imagery is drawn in this poem. This is interesting and beautiful.10
Was it a coincidence! today I closely watched a bud in my garden for almost 2 hours while working on my laptop and saw it blooming and becoming a flower. I never thought it the way you mentioned thought the fragrance of it might have spread all over in open space but for sure in close room it would be good to smell and cherish. A fantastic poem. Loved it.
This poem has such a tender way of expression like the consideration of the speaker for the buds. It is a great Spring poem: floral and fresh like Spring itself!
Flowers are naturally beautiful, no doubt. But sometimes I wonder if their beauty is further enhanced because their life is so short. Apart from human hands, nature too can destroy them easily. Any way, the piece is refreshingly good.
