The Bondage Poem by Morakinyo Temiloluwa Bolarinwa

The Bondage

The bondage of Ideas are eloquent,
the shackles of ideals are compelling,
the question remains the side to be,
with how things are and they are meant.

With my conscience prickling me,
I am torn within it and lessons,
within societal accepting-blessings.......
within my mind painfully-fulfilling.......

The bondage of ideas are eloquent
the shackles of ideals are compelling,
Men who white and black all see,
to places marked in grey are sent.
where the society may cast you out,
or your heart may tear your soul apart.

The bondage of ideas are eloquent,
but I'd wear the shackles of ideals.
