The Bond We Share Poem by Chris Tasie

The Bond We Share

Imagine the stair we climb in as peers
Some couple of years
Together we bear
In pains and tears
We still roll the gear
Eight semesters, we battle with spear
Of ink. Ever we'll stir
Till we get there

Tomorrow is as far as nowhere
When to be there
Is a question that scares
Perhaps we're unaware
It comes with a spear
Yet we kept calling as though it didn't hear
Gradually it nears
And now it's here

Yesterday, we were more than we're here
But in the course of the fear
Some fell to the snare
Hold your tears
'Cos it doesn't give a spare
Whether you are here
Or you're there, God is so fair
That nobody is despair

It may hurt like a spear
Yet a truth to hear
The bond we share
Is about to be severed
For the die is cast
Time to be unpaired
Oh my dears who relieves who from tears?
But for good we're unpaired so flaunt your cheers
