A little shy and timid,
When we first met eachother.
I started looking forward to each day coming.
My stomach even started to flutter.

We had started dating.
You made me feel alive everyday.
We were actually a pretty hot item.
At least, that's what I like to say.

The smile you would give me,
Made my mind not know what to do.
Everything about you just melted my heart.
It's how I knew this love was true.

The times we had out together,
We always had such a blast.
I always went to sleep at night,
Hoping that forever, this love will last.

Eight months had gone by.
Nobody can separate us at all.
Most days, I would sit at home,
Waiting for my LIFE to call.

One night, when you finally called,
I heard something wrong in your tone
You told me 'We are through.'
And you hung up the phone.

I was beyond heart broken.
It felt like my entire world came tumbling down.
Forced to see you the very next day,
Wishing I wasn't even around.

Slowly and surely, I finally moved on.
I was no longer as hurt as before.
My heart no longer would ache.
I had to face the fact that, we were no longer ONE anymore.

I got into some trouble.
I made some bad choices and decisions.
And you being next to me,
Is something I again, had envisioned.

I worked myself up over it,
Had a few careless flings.
I started missing US badly, making me almost crazy.
I went as far as destroying your things.

I wanted you to feel the pain,
The pain you put on my heart.
I had then realized, I had only made myself look bad.
And that you and I need a fresh start.

I broke down and wrote you.
Tried to explain what was going on.
You told me you wanted to cry for me,
You forgave me for what I did wrong.

Thankful you forgave me,
So lucky to have you in my life.
I may not get to be with you again,
But having you as my friend, I'll take it with pride.

Years had past,
Time had gone by.
We had lost touch with each other.
But I always kept you in the back of my mind.

One day I had found you.
My entire heart sunk down into my gut.
It took me a few days to say anything to you,
I would just sit there with my eyes shut.

I finally built up the courage,
To finally say, 'hello! '
And right away you had responded,
You asked, ' What have you been up to? '

From that point on,
And for these last few years,
We have become closer together.
We talk all the time and dry each others tears.

We face the same issues.
We vent to one another allot.
We can talk about anything.
And for hours, go on and on

I totally get you,
And you completely understand me.
You have become something special in my heart.
And you shall remain close, for all eternity.

I will be forever grateful that you are in my life.
I even call you ' My Bestie '
And even if we're not together,
You are the best thing to ever happen to me!
