The Bench Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

The Bench

The Bench

Though unsaid
-not arranged
-is certain:
- "Rendezvous?
-Single bench! "

They are four
-one of them Monster
- (before said,)
-and the rest
-a woman, a black (slender)
-and weary Caucasian…

All homeless!
All harmless!

Rejected
-and jobless
-life to them:
- "Kill time, waste! "

Their movements
-show, circus,
-drive in, entertain.

For artists
-they are the
-source of work
-and idols.
-They are seeds
-without sheaths;
-soaked kernels
-to questions:
- "What is life? "
- "What is cause? "
- "What is short? "
- "What is long? "

Am ashamed to observe!
Must leave and go away!
How to help? Kill myself?
