The Bell Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

The Bell

Rating: 5.0

While roaming through the valley
From a distance I hear chiming of a bell
It comes somewhere from the lap of the
Mountains and flits across the silent dale

The sound of the bell is soothing to the mind
It is like the song of a priest, so divine and kind
Does the bell ring for me, for my final hour
Or to remind I have much work waiting there?

The sound of a bell always carries an air of mystery. They say that the bell tower specially connects heaven and earth. A wonderful poem. The closure lines came as a surprise.
