The minister's election wagon entered the traveller's bungalow
the party worker 'Esaki''s face dint show a glow
the minister did know why so...even in
this list of candidates Esaki's name din't show
what to do Esaki dint have good fund flow...though
as a mid level party worker with a fantastic word flow
Esaki's popularity among his party men did grow
even then without fund flow where can he go.....

'Esaki...how is the work going on
posters, flags, stage and so on' the minister asked
'everything done 'thalaiva'(leader) a flag post put on
every 20ft on the road with light and poster...with the police standing
every 20ft we could have saved money if we could have
given the flag in his hands' a wise Esaki's said
'stop it...next you will ask me to tie the light on his head
paste the poster in his uniform...plug the flag pole in his trouser..
don't be rude to them and spoil my name...ok let's go see the arrangements'

The election wagon was a paradise on wheels
Esaki would'nt sit on the luxurious seat he was on his heels
the minister had to force him to sit down...
as they were going the minister on looking out feels
'what is this esaki the flags on the roads seems insufficient
even in last election it was a better show'
'no thalaiva(leader) the funds alloted was'nt sufficient'-esaki
'what was not sufficient...the flags were already there is'nt it...
what did you do with them'-the minister
'what can i do with a flag thalaiva'
Esaki casually lifted his dhoti to show the bermuda he had made out of the flag
the minister was shocked...thank god the driver din't see he thought.

They reached the venue where the meeting was to be held
as the minister was standing down...esaki was up on stage
the minister gave an intent look at esaki from far...he wanted to see
if his bermuda was visible beyond the dhoti...he could see
he called esaki and told him
'go home and change that rubbish and come...if the media catches that on frame
the party will be put to shame'
when esaki came back after a while only the minister could see the difference in him.
Esaki has outgrown thought the minister...he would'nt be contend
just as a party worker anymore thought the minister

Very soon Esaki got his political name 'KODI EEDAIYAN' the minister gave
it could mean...a man with a flag on his waist..or a man with a slender waist
both did suit esaki...esaki's followers hailed the true tamil name
their leader was given...and that was the end of ESAKI..and
THE BEGINNING OF A NEW POLITICAL LEADER...KODI EEDAIYAN
and true to his name he could hold on to any flag to be in power
