*my 'Amma' Poem by Samanyan Lakshminarayanan

*my 'Amma'

Rating: 3.3

my mother was a person
who could converse with her cow
and the little rose in her garden
with mankind she had no clue
she lost to them due to her bluntness

my mother was a person
whom you could trust..any of you
you could hold her hand and walk past
any mist- there would'nt be a dug trap
waiting for you..trust worthy person

my mother was a person
who was'nt a learned one
she knew what i liked to eat more than
she knew what i liked to read..she was
a person to whom the stomach was more than the head

for a person like my mom
a poem would'nt be a fitting tribute
if i feed a few to their hearts content
it would be a fitting tribute...for
my mother was a person..to whom
the stomach was more than the head

The way to a mans heart is through his stomach, so your mother was a wise lady.

the originality here makes one realize that it's a true depiction of your mother I do agree with Ravi - his suggestion would bring an improvement, but if you leave it stand as is it's still a decent piece

a real mother knows the value of eternal love.........that only flows through your words........a goat can call her amme...not a crow.........
