The Battle Of Trafalgar 2011

Rating: 2.7

Taking the alternative route.
Small steps in unison.
Solidarity gives momentum to the common man.
We whistle down the wind.
Loud and proud.
It's not enough though.
We can't wake that giant.
The socialist ideal slumbers still.
The hollowest of victories is to claim we tried.
The shallowest of victories is to try for effect.
Basking in the feel-good factor of showing we care.
Then damming those who care too much.
There are easy targets.
Karma-ceuticals to make the world feel better.
Courage speaks what everyone thinks.
We're in it together.
A stagnant pond where corporate floats.
And service sinks.
They made our bed uncomfortable.
Gambled on greed.
And sold us austerity.
Rowdy was the party.
Off the leash they misbehaved.
A young voice braying to be heard.
The exuberance of youth against subtlety of stone.
Unmoved, deaf is the wall.
It started getting claustrophobic.
The mood changed the walls closed in.
Happy anarchy turned self preservation.
Eager were the batons lasing out.
People screamed and sirens sound.
